Tourism Studies (2-Year): (DTXXX)

Course Information

The course is designed for candidates with a special interest in Tourism and Hospitality Studies.

As well as providing general purpose Tourism skills, such as Communications, Tourism Awareness and Personal Effectiveness in the Workplace, this course offers specialist training in areas related to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry, such as Reception, heritage, customer service, and tourism enterprise.

Awards

  • You will receive a FETAC level 5 Minor Award Certificate for each module you pass.
  • A candidate who passes all modules will receive FETAC level 5 Major Award.

Admission Requirements

An entry- level English examination will have to be taken and passed for a candidate to be allowed entry to this course.

No computing skills are necessary to gain entry to this course – all modules will be taught from basics.

Assessment

All subjects are examined via assignments – which will need to be submitted at the end of each semester, except English for Business which is examined via paper based examinations.
