Trinity College Beckons for Richard: September 2008
Richard
departing for Trinity College Dublin in September 2008 after he graduated from DBL College after
being with us for over a year. We wish Richard all the best in his future
studies.
University College Dublin Beckons for Jan Li: September 2008
Jin
Ni leaves DBL College for University College Dublin to further her studies.
Jin was a very successful student at DBL and studied for two years at DBL
College. When Jin Li left for University she had achieved advance
level.
College Trip to Malahide Castle: 25th April 2008
On Friday 25th April 2008 DBL College Students went on a College trip to Malahide Castle in North Co. Dublin. Malahide Castle is one of Dublin Tourism’s top visitor attractions. Set on 250 acres of park land in the pretty seaside town of Malahide, was both a fortress and a private home for nearly eight hundred years. The house is furnished with beautiful period furniture together with an extensive collection of Irish portrait paintings, mainly from the National Gallery.

Inter-College Futsal Tournament March 08’
On Wednesday 19th March DBL College took part in Café’s inter-college futsal tournament at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght. IT Blanchardstown, ITT Dublin, Inchicore College and DBL College all took part in the tournament. DBL did play in the final but we unfortunately beaten by Inchicore College. DBL did, however, win the honour of having both the joint top-scorers on their team with 8 a piece (Caio Carneiro & Marcio Ferreira).

Graduation 2008’
On March 7th 2008, students of DBL College will be attending a graduation ceremony in the college and will be presented with their FETAC Awards.In total, over 100 students will be receiving awards in the one or more of the following courses:

Traditional Irish Night 9th February 2008:
On Saturday 9th February 2008, DBL Students enjoyed a Traditional Irish Night at the Arlington Hotel in Dublin. Entertainment for the night included traditional Irish music and dancing. A great night was had by all. See: http://www.arlington.ie/irish-nights.php for more information.

Graduation 2006’
DBL College Graduation Day took place this year on 18th September in our Foley Street Campus.
75 students graduated in the following courses:
- Practical Computing Level 1-3 (LCCI) & ECDL
- Business Administration Level 3 (OCR)
- Travel & Tourism Level 3 (OCR)
- English for Business Level 1 (LCCI)
DBL was also proud to announce that one of our students (Anisha Chinathoo) was awarded with a World Silver Medallion from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry for her high marks in DBL's English for Business Level 1 programme.
