Information Technology (2-Years)

Course Information

The course is designed for candidates who wish to study Information Technology to enhance their employment opportunities, and those who wish to gain entry to University Education in Ireland focusing on in depth and practical skills of Information Technology.

As well as providing general purpose office and IT skills, communications skills such as Communications, desktop publishing etc, this course offers specialist skills training in Computer Programming, Web design, and Computer Architecture and Systems.

Awards

  • You will receive a FETAC level 5 Minor Award Certificate for each module you pass.
  • A candidate who passes all modules will receive FETAC level 5 Major Award.

Admission Requirements

An entry- level English examination will have to be taken and passed for a candidate to be allowed entry to this course. Basic computing skills are also necessary to gain entry to this course.

Assessment

All subjects are examined via assignments submitted at the end of each semester, except English for Business which is examined via paper based examinations.
