Pre-University Foundation Programme (1-Year):
DBL College is delighted to announce it's new Pre-University Foundation Programme!
International students require specific skills and preparation in order study at University in Ireland.This course is specifically designed to help students develop these skills and to fully prepare them for their undergraduate degrees.
This programme is a 1-year FETAC level 5 programme in which the candidate will the learn essential knowledge and skills of required to prepare them for their undergraduate degrees.
The course can be divided in 3 main areas:
- Enhancing your English as a Second Language skills to University level requirements (English for Academic Purposes).
- Developing a foundation in Business knowledge and skills which enhance your ability to perform in presentations, assignments and projects in University. (Business Administration, Business Computing).
- Extending your Computing, ICT and mathematics skills. This will not only provide a solid base for studying Science, Engineering and Computing at University, but will also develop your Computing skills which will enhance your ability to complete work effectively and efficiently while undertaking your undergraduate degree. (Mathematics, Information & Communication Systems, Business Computing).
DBL College's International Foundation Programme is recognised internationally through Ireland's National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
Students who successfully complete this course can progress onto DBL College's HETAC Computing & Multimedia Programme.
