Computing Courses
Cultural & Computer Studies:
Cultural & Computer Studies is a 2-year FETAC level 4 programme in which candidates learn the important skills, knowledge and understanding to help them achieve more in the workplace, and prepare them for further education progression.
This course can be divided into three main areas:
- Learning to work effectively with people from all cultures (Understanding Interculturalism, Cultural Studies),
- Enhancing your own workplace skills and knowledge (Communications, Personal & Interpersonal Skills, English as a Second Language)
- Providing yourself with further opportunities in the workplace (IT Skills, Computer Applications, Mathematics.)
Business Knowledge and skills developed through this course:
- Office Skills: (Hardware & Software, Presentation skills, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, email),
- Business Skills: Team work, dealing with people, effective communication, calculations.
- Human Resource Skills: Working with people from different backgrounds, understanding and respecting diverse cultures.
